Facebook Certifies Google’s DoubleClick For Ad-Impression Tracking
A little frost might be melting off the usually chilly relationship between Facebook and Google, as AdExchanger reported that Google’s DoubleClick has been certified by the social network for ad-impression tracking.
AdExchanger pointed out that most Google technologies are still banned from Facebook’s platform, mentioning that DoubleClick Bid Manager (formerly Invite Manager) is still not among the demand-side platforms allowed to access the Facebook Exchange.
AdExchanger also wondered how Wildfire Interactive will be affected after its acquisition by Google.
According to sister blog Inside Facebook, other third-parties allowed to use cookie tracking include Bloom Digital, Flashtalking, GroupM, Mediamind, Mediaplex, Pointroll, TruEffect, and Weborama.
Readers: Do you expect a further thawing of the frost between Facebook and Google?
